We are an Aussie couple who after 2.5 years of travel during Covid decided to setup base in Georgia and welcome fellow travellers.

The grapes are nearly ready and soon weโ€™ll be gathering for the big harvest at Overland Haven! The exact day depends on the vines, but itโ€™ll be either this weekend(27/9) or next (4/10).

Want to be part of the action? Imagine spending a day in the vineyard, picking grapes, sharing stories, and celebrating with wine, food, and laughter.

Time for some Georgian food! Wild mushrooms, eggplant with walnuts, Georgian kimchi, khachapuri, tashmajabi (mashed potatoes with cheese) mixed with melt in your mouth pork (this could be a new favourite!) and of course khinkali - but this time made with an ancient grain as opposed to the normal white flour. Everything washed down with a smidge or two of wine of course!

Lots going on in the garden this year, weโ€™ve planted pumpkins, cucumbers, peas, tomatoes, strawberries, radishes, peppers, sunflowers and a few others. Like every year, the cows have already got in and ruined the sweet corn (hopefully the second round makes it!), this year they also attacked the sunflowers and tomatoes - but looks like theyโ€™ll make it ok.
Also looks like a bumper year for the sweet pomegranates and figs.
