სოფელ ველისციხის წმინდა გიორგის ეკლესია და სამრეკლო

სოფელ ველისციხის ისტორიულ ძეგლთა შორის აღსანიშნავია, წმინდა გიორგის ეკლესიის მახლობლად აღმართული სამრეკლო (სიმაღლე 30 მეტრამდე), რომელიც ერთ-ერთი ყველაზე მაღალი სამრეკლოა საქართველოში.

სამრეკლო თავდაცვითი კოშკის ფუნქციებსაც ასრულებდა,რასაც მოწმობს მის კედლებში დატანებული სათოფურები. სამრეკლო, რამდენიმე სართულისაგან შედგება, სართულშუა ხის გადახურვები ჩამოშლილია. შესაძლებელია, რომ მტრების შემოსევების დროს ხალხის გასაფრთხილებლად, სამრეკლოს ზედა სართულზე კოცონს ანთებდნენ.

A must-see attraction in the village of Velistsikhe is St. George's Church and its bell tower.

Among the historical monuments of Velistsikhe, the bell tower, which stands nearly 30 meters tall, is particularly noteworthy. Standing tall near St. George's Church, it is one of the tallest bell towers in Georgia.

Interestingly, the bell tower also served as a defensive structure, as evidenced by the cannons embedded in its walls. The tower consists of several floors, although the wooden roofs between them have been removed. It is believed that fires were once lit on the top floor to alert villagers of enemy invasions.
