🎉 Another milestone achieved!

The Greater Accra Regional Branch of GRNMA has officially outdoored the Police Hospital District, bringing leadership even closer to members in the region.

The event brought together Regional Executives, hospital management, departmental heads, and members, and also witnessed the swearing-in of acting district executives.
Congratulations to the new district leadership as we continue advancing the vision of a stronger and more connected GRNMA within the capital.

The launch of the GRNMA-UGMC District Branch signifies our unwavering commitment to bringing leadership closer to members and responding effectively to their welfare needs.

With the presence of the GAR Regional Chairman Mr. Jefferson Asare Danquah, regional and district executives, nurse managers, and members, the event also featured the swearing-in of the branch's acting executives.

CELEBERATING EXCELLENCE IN NURSING AND MIDWIFERY 🎉🎉

The Greater Accra Regional Branch of the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association (GRNMA-GAR) paid a courtesy call on the Management of the Greater Accra Regional Hospital to officially present Mr. Benson Owusu Atuahene (PhD), a Nursing Officer of the hospital, as the *2026 Greater Accra Regional Best Nurse/Midwife*.

The GRNMA-GAR delegation, led by the Regional Chairman, Mr. Jefferson Asare Danquah, included regional and district executives of the association. The team was warmly received by the Medical Director of the hospital Dr. Leslie Issa Adam-Zakariah, alongside the Head of Nursing and Midwifery, CNMO Mrs. Akoto, and other nurse managers.

The occasion served as an opportunity to celebrate excellence, dedication, and outstanding contributions to the nursing and midwifery profession. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to *Mr. Benson Owusu Atuahene (PhD)* on this well-deserved recognition and wish him continued success in his professional journey.

2026 Nurses & Midwives Week Celebration 2026 organized by the Ghana Registered Nurses and Midwives Association, GAR

The celebration highlighted the invaluable contribution of nurses and midwives to healthcare delivery and called for urgent action to address staffing challenges across the sector.
Participants also advocated for improved support systems to ensure trainees and healthcare workers receive the best care, resources, and opportunities to thrive.

The event was also used in rewarding nurses and midwives who performed exceptionally in their various districts.
At the end of the event Mr. Benson A. Owusu was crowned the overall best Nurse/Midwife for the region, with Ms. Abigail Ansah Asamoah and Ms. Christiana Mensah Doe coming up as 1st and 2nd runner ups respectively.

Join us for thanksgiving service at the Assemblies of God Church, Flatop bus stop - off Achimota-lapaz road as we crown our week celebration.
