I come from a country called GHANA in West Africa, where a church will vacate its premises on a particular day for his Muslim brothers to use same venue for prayers,
a country where the Christian president prays with the Muslim during their festivities
a country where the vice president who is a Muslim visits the church takes up a platform and quotes the Bible
a country where a Muslim will es**rt his christian brother to his church upon an invite and feels comfortable
where a Muslim and a christian leaves in the same compound house, share the same bath house etc
a country where a christian will Waite for his Muslim brother to go and pray when time is due and continue their chat afterwards
a country where a Muslim will tease his christian brother who doesn't love to go to church and encourage him to do so
a country where a beautiful Muslim lady can wear hijab to anywhere without being made fun of or ridiculed.
a country were both religions respect each other and tolerate each other
a country where in every occasion we have these two religions present, opening and closing prayers are shared, respected and responded to accordingly
a country where the chief Imam calls the pastor his brother
a country where Christians enjoy salafest more than the Muslim
a country where both religious people share their lives to save the nation .....you can add yours
this is Ghana and this is why we are a peaceful country. Let us therefore continue to be peaceful. Elections will come and go but we remain Ghanaians. Let us ensure that we maintain the peace before, during and after the 2020 elections.
May God bless us and God bless our homeland Ghana and make Her great and strong
