Greece is famous for its divine beaches and culinary delights. But sometimes this has been overshadowed by over the top tourism. Andros is a sanctuary of Greek beauty. Natural beaches, fresh water springs and a unique cuisine Andros really is a Greek Gem. The houses are family run and are located in a village called Stenies (often referred to as the ship owner's village, which it was up until the

1940s). No cars are permitted in Stenies which is why it is so quiet and tranquil. Visitors can choose to park in one of the 3 parking lots at the edge of Stenies and then walk to their destination within the village. And, even more idyllic is the veranda at the front of the houses, which make a great space to enjoy a glass of retsina - or if you are not so inclined, a gin and tonic. The owner, Aris, is available at all times to assist you. He is passionate about the island's history and makes a bloody good tour guide, and also speaks English and French fluently,
