Amorgian Recipes by Eden House

Drunken Amorgian Pies
For the dow - Ingredients
1 glass of olive or vegetable oil
1 glass of white wine
4 teaspoons of baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt - You mix them all together in one boul.
You add about 1 kilo of all-purpose flour and mix all together until it becomes a nice soft mixture.
You make small balls, about 25-30 pieces.
You squeeze each one of them with the palm of the hand, so they will become round.
You put one teaspoon of filling in the middle on each one.You turn the one end over to meet the other end, so the filling will be enclosed. You close it with a fork.
You place them in a tray, either buttered or on top of wax paper.

Bake for half hour at 165 degrees.
Fillings can be:
marmalade,
fresh chopped fruit, like apples, with some sugar and raisins or nuts.
For sweet pies, you sprinkle after baking with powder sugar.

vegetables of your choice.
For cheese pies: 2 eggs, 200 grams of feta cheese, salt, pepper, 1/2 cup chopped onion, some mint, and some anise or dill., mixed all together.
For meat pies, prepare the minced meat as for spaghetti sauce.
For savory pies, you beat an egg and spread over the pied, before placing in the oven.
