You thought that Greece is only a summer destination? Well, think again! With winter coming everything's become a bit cheaper and it's exactly the right time for you to visit beautiful Athens! Here's a few reasons why you should book this vacation:🤩

*Less tourist = less crowded.* Greece is mostly known as a place you come visit for the beautiful beaches and the summer vibes, when does things are missing less people are coming.

**Cheap cheap cheap! **Greece is known as highly convenient place for budget travelers, especially in a places that less known as "tourist places".in the winter less people come to visit so the prices become even cheaper.💰

Let's be honest- Greece is known for the hot weather. REALLY HOT. The winter in Greece, especially in Athens is not super cold and strong. Meaning most of the time you gonna have a *nice weather.*☁️

*Museums*! Athens is known by its rich history, even when it's rainy or cold you can always visit the bunch of museums such as the acropolis museum located 20 minutes walk from the Airbnb or you can take two metros or 1 bus. Pandora Art Gallery is also a great option,13 minutes walk or 7 minutes in the metro. Another super cool museum that kids and basically all the family would like it’s the Museum of Illusion Athens. 5 minutes walk. 🏛

*Acropolis*- if you ever been in Athens so you must know that the Acropolis , with all the beauty it have, can be a bit nightmare with all the people and the climb which is not the easiest . But, imagine this situation: yes, you still climb but- without bunch of people and without the heavy heat. Sounds almost perfect.🇬🇷

*Monastiraki , Plaka , Psiri –* CROWDW AND SOMETIME PRICY , HOT WEATHER. All of this happening in the summer, but, what is happening in the winter? Less pricy , less crowded and more comfortable weather. 🛍

**Picnic in the National Garden* *it's a great idea. Nice weather and almost no people. Just the beauty of the garden.💐

Go in the street and discover the **street art **which Athens is so lucky to have. Pysri, Gazi AND Exarcheia this is where the best art street is located.🖼

In Monastiraki you can find a bunch of *rooftops* restaurants and bar which usually would be crowded but in the winter it's just you , nice weather, good food, amazing view and maybe a few people.🍷

*Day trip*! Around Athens you can find a bunch of nature and travel sites in a nice weather and great view🛣

Areopagus Hill in the sunset it’s exactly where you want to be. If you looking for some romantic vibe this is your place!🌅 (and even if you not and you just want some nice and friendly experience).
it’s such a nice hill located 16 minutes walk from the apartment. (Another alternative it’s to take the metro to Monastiraki which is about 1 minutes ride and then walk about 9 minutes). The weather is warm. 🌤
It’s an historical site with Archaeological pieces. 🏛
The place used to be The High Court of Appeals of Ancient Greece.
The walking is not challenging which makes it friendly to everyone even for little kids.

Highly recommended check it out! 🙃

So the summer is officially here! And what’s more fun than jumping into the water, no matter if we talking about the beach or just some lake, here is some recommendations for some places involved water you can chill in!🏊‍♂️

Aquapolis(water park) - one of the most exciting water park to ever exist! The park includes all the level of . From babies to old people. From the ones who lives the fear and the extreme to the one who just want to enjoy in the water or some tiny slides.

Athens Sea Kayak Tour- a tour along the beautiful parts of the Athenian coastline, a combination of water sports, sightseeing and fun interaction between the members of the group and the guide.

Vouliagmeni lake - Lake Vouliagmeni is part saltwater, part spring water lake where people can swim year-round due to its desirable, steady temperature of 22-25 degrees. The warm water is known for its therapeutic mineral qualities and healing properties and has been used for years to bring relief to arthritis sufferers.

Glyfada Beach- unfortunately to get to this beach with public transport will be an harder mission. If you’ve got a car or want to take a taxi it will only be 25 minutes to get this beautiful beach but with public transport it will take for you 1 hour by taking the metro and then switching for the bus. It’s so worth it tho! No matter how you choose to get there you will find out the one of the most beautiful beaches to ever exist.

Anavissos beach- it will take for you 50 minutes (with taxi or car) to get to this beach but it’s so worth it! You can spend your whole day here, the beach located in a little and beautiful village which you can find another beaches there and another spots to spend your day.

Did you know? Today is the international picnic day! In honor for this special day I collect for you some really cool spots in Athens to do your picnic. so take notes because soon you gonna relax and eat some goodies in some of the best picnic spots in Athens!

Philopappou Hill - the view is just WOW. You can see the Parthenon and Lycabettus Hil from the hill. 🏔

Lycabettus Hill- you can watch all of Athens and even some parts of Piraeus .🌄

National Gardens- It is abundant with plant and tree species from around the world and Greece, such as palm trees
and the Phytolacca tree, Ginko Biloba and more, You’ll see parrots, goats, swans, ducks, frogs, tortoises, cats, and peacocks kept in confinement and free. There is also a Botanical Museum, playground, and cafe on the premises, which close at sunset.💐

SNFCC- you can find there olive trees and native herbs as well as flowers and bushes.🌴

Diomedis Botanical Gardens- this parkland is one of the largest of its kind in Europe. It has a network of paved roads leading you around the 15 flowerbeds of (over 500 species of) plants – aromatic and medicinal plants, historic plants and ornamental plants are just some of the categories. There are also a nursery, seed bank, laboratories and a greenhouse on the grounds, which include 25 pools with aquatic plant species. 🌺

Those are just some of the spots but of course there is even more which so easy to look for! Take your family, your friends or even spoil yourself with some hours of fresh air and great food combine with the best view. Enjoy!🧺
