𝗔 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀. 𝗔 𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄. 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀. 🍷

Some moments don’t need much more. A quiet drink on our rooftop, Lycabettus Hill in the distance, and the city slowly changing as day turns into night.

One of our favourite ways to experience Athens.

“𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀.” We’ll happily take that! 💜There’s nothing better than hearing that a stay exceeded expectation...

“𝗕𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗼𝘀.” We’ll happily take that! 💜

There’s nothing better than hearing that a stay exceeded expectations. From our location and breakfast to the rooftop pool overlooking the Acropolis, we’re so happy these little (and not-so-little) details made a difference.

And a special thank you for the kind words about our team. A warm welcome and genuine hospitality will always be at the heart of NOVUS. Thank you for sharing your experience — we hope to welcome you back to Athens soon!

𝗥𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘆 𝗱𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀? ☔
If today’s weather has changed your sightseeing plans, here are a few ideas for making the most of a rainy Sunday in Athens:

𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗔𝗿𝘁
Explore one of Athens’ most distinctive collections of Cycladic, Ancient Greek and Cypriot art. You can also catch Jeff Koons: Venus Lespugue before it closes tomorrow, 28 September.
🕐 Today: 11:00–17:00

𝗖𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗰 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹
Travelling with children? The Athens Municipality Arts Center at Eleftherias Park hosts a full day of performances, exhibitions and creative activities for families.
🕐 Today: 11:00–18:00 | Free admission

𝗘𝗠𝗦𝗧 – 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗔𝗿𝘁 𝗔𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘀
Head to the former FIX brewery for several floors of contemporary Greek and international art, with multiple exhibitions currently on view.
🕐 Today: 11:00–19:00 | Last admission 18:30
General admission: €10.

And if the weather improves later… Today is the final day of European Heritage Days, with free admission to state-run archaeological sites including the Acropolis, Ancient Agora, Roman Agora, Hadrian’s Library and Olympieion.

So keep your umbrella close and your plans flexible. There’s still plenty of Athens to discover, even on a grey day.

📌 Save this post for your next rainy day in Athens.
