“From an earlier age I understood that life is an adventure and a challenge. Fortunately, I discovered photography and embraced the potential it offered to find meaning in an existential reality. This little black box has illuminated my existence and allowed me to navigate life encompassing uncertainty and chance as the measure of the photographic works I produce, forever deepening the mystery of life.”

Photographer, educator and writer Michael Grieve () moves between documentary and fiction, constructing immersive frames shaped by intuition and lived experience.

From the nocturnal tension of the “Blue of Night” series to the spectral stillness of “A Second of Quiet”, his pieces blur the boundaries between reality and imagination.

Moving across Berlin and Athens, Grieve continues to transmit his photographic vocabulary and approach to image-making through .photo and .
