Happy Greek Independence Day! 🇬🇷🇬🇷

Every year on the 25th of March, Greece celebrates its independence from the Ottoman Empire. Today, a grand military parade takes place at 11am in the centre of Athens, marching past the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, the Athenian Trilogy and ending at Omonia Square. Join the flag-waving crowds on the streets, then set off for the other, admittedly more pleasurable tradition of the day; a dish of delicious bakaliaro-skordalia (battered salt cod served with a garlic and potato dip). 🐟🧄
