Today is the only day of the year when visitors can set foot on the protected Thodorou Island (Agioi Theodoroi).
Located just opposite Agia Marina, this small island is home to the famous Cretan wild goat, the kri-kri, and is normally closed to the public to protect its unique ecosystem.
On June 8th, during the feast of Agioi Theodoroi, local boats offer the rare opportunity to visit this historic and legendary island, explore its Venetian heritage, and experience a place that remains untouched for the other 364 days of the year.
From our sea view rooms and the beach of Agia Marina, Thodorou Island is a landmark our guests admire every day. Today, a lucky few can experience it up close.
