"My wife and I took a short vacation of 3 days at Dimitroula's house in Chania. Vassilis, to start with, was very welcoming and helpful. Firstly, he allowed us to check in early so that we wouldn't be wandering around Chania until formal check-in time! He gave us lots of tips about the area and also provided us with very useful info about attractions, restaurants and bars. Although he suggested several beautiful beaches, unfortunately we did not have time to visit them. We didn't even try Koum Kapi beach which is a couple of steps from the house. Dimitroula's house is exactly as shown at the pictures. It is very well equipped (we even found anti-mosquito tablets there) and decorated, giving an essence of a descent local's residence rather than just a rental house! It is very close to everything in Chania, super close to the harbor and old town, so central but away from the crowded and crazy part of the old town. There is also plenty of coffee places and few restaurants right downstairs. The feeling being just by the sea and listening to the waves is breathtaking, makes you feel you are right over the ocean. Although we were only two to stay there, the house can certainly host a family of four. The home made cake, the olive oil bottle, the wine and the raki (!) that were offered were a great surprise to us. The bed was large and very comfortable, and the balcony was a great place to relax with a bottle of wine. Although we didn't rent a car, dozens of free parking slots are available in the neighborhood. We highly recommend Dimitroula's house for enjoying Chania. An incredible apartment with an incredible host! We wish we had the chance to stay longer! Thank you so much Vassilis we hope to be back one day soon!"
