Every once in a while there comes along an absolute televisual treasure you're glad you discovered - pun intended. Detectorists is just that, a gem, gentle British comedy that warms the cockles.
Wonderfully written, developed and starring Mackenzie Crook and supported by partner in crime Toby Jones, and partner in love Rachel Stirling. A wonderful cast that makes for the best original British comedy in years.
It just finished on Drama Channel but if you haven't watched this its on BBC iPlayer now. You won't be disappointed trust me, if you've seen it, you'll know what I mean.
Lets not forget the wonderful title music from Johnny Flynn that fits the show like a glove. Johnny even has a cameo in the show to sing the theme
