The loggia catching the last of the day’s sun …

Years ago, I tore a photograph from the pages of Côté Sud - or perhaps Côté Est - and tucked it away for inspiration. When we found and came to renovate Annalena, I shared it with Periklis, our engineer, and this was the result - still love it almost twenty years later

Avlaki is between San Stefanos and Kassiopi, it’s a really great beach as there’s usually a gentle breeze, even on the hottest days of summer

A rather magical afternoon organic farm where Greek filoxenia was at the heart of it all

Guided olive oil tasting, cooking with olive oil workshop with chefs and local wines from Nicoluzo Estate, olive oil in desserts with and the not to be missed finale from - ‘olive grove cocktail’ quite possibly the most delicious martini I’ve ever tasted

Thank you to all - visit if you can is open for visits, tours, tastings, farm dinners and of course their award winning extra virgin olive oils - it really is a special place and a rather special event

Simply known as Kouloura, the whitewashed Venetian house that watches over the entrance to the little harbour opened its gates today for

Built as a fortress in the 16th century by the Venetians, it later became the home of the Agnelli family until recently. Now in the hands of Australian owners, the gardens have been reimagined - old stone terraces removed to open up the space and vistas

It rained when we visited, softening the light and muting the colours, it was beautiful
