We spent two very pleasant weeks at Alex's place. The setting is magnificent, tucked away between the sea and the olive trees. The terrace is perfect, and the accommodation is very clean, full of character and charm—simply perfect.
Finally, Alex is a fantastic host: discreet, attentive, and always ready with great advice—and he speaks perfect French!
We will definitely be back.

I love when I meet the shepherd, his wife with all their goats and Sheep. I'm afraid that slowly, slowly these old traditions will disappear which is such a pity..

The cave of Franchthi. During the Upper Paleolithic age (50.000-12.000 years ago) Franchthi Cave was seasonally occupied by a small group (or groups), probably in the range of 25–30 people, who mainly hunted wild ass and red deer (with no evidence of gathering wild plants), carrying a stone tool kit of flint bladelets and scrapers.

Like old Greece in this area! The shepard and his wife are moving their goats and sheep around to different spots and you will surely meet them.
