😊 A walk along the coastline of Almyrida is a truly memorable experience, filled with beautiful views, diverse landscapes, and the unique atmosphere of Crete. After such a stroll, it is worth sitting in one of the seaside tavernas right by the water and, while enjoying Greek cuisine, gazing into the distance at slowly passing ships and airplanes crossing the blue sky above the bay.🩵💙🤍.

🌿🌱☘️A spring hike around Lake Kournas is a true delight for nature lovers and anyone who appreciates beautiful landscapes. The breathtaking views – the blue-turquoise mirror of the lake surrounded by hills, with the Cretan Sea visible in the distance – create a unique panorama that is hard to forget.💚🩵💙

The hiking trail around the lake is about 8 km long. At first, the route climbs uphill, but the effort is quickly rewarded with sweeping views stretching all the way to the horizon. 🌺🌸🌼Further on, the path leads through flower-filled meadows fragrant with herbs, which in spring burst with vibrant colours. And by looking closely, you can spot tiny blooming orchids. Then the trail descends back to the lakeshore.

If you look carefully, you may spot turtles peacefully basking in the sun. It is a walk full of silence, closeness to nature, and the true magic of Crete.🌞

🏺 A visit to the palace of Phaistos makes a tremendous impression, above all because of its vast scale and the monumental remains of Minoan architecture. 🏛️ Walking through the ruins, one can imagine the former splendor of this place, which was one of the most important centers of Minoan civilization. It was here that the famous Phaistos Disc was discovered – one of archaeology’s greatest mysteries, covered with enigmatic symbols that have still not been definitively deciphered.
🗻An unforgettable part of the visit is also the magnificent view of the majestic Psiloritis mountain range, which adds a unique charm to this place.

🏛️The ruins of Gortyna in Crete are one of the most important archaeological sites on the island, located on the fertile Messara plain. In ancient times, Gortyna was a powerful city and for a period served as the capital of Roman Crete and Cyrenaica. Today, visitors can see the remains of a theatre, a Roman odeon, temples, baths, and the early Christian Basilica of Saint Titus.

🏺Especially famous is the Code of Gortyna – a monumental stone inscription containing a collection of laws from the 5th century BC, considered one of the oldest and best-preserved legal codes of ancient Greece. A walk through the ruins allows visitors to feel the atmosphere of a place where Minoan, Greek, and Roman influences meet. Gortyna is a must-see destination for history lovers visiting Crete. It is also worth visiting the Archaeological Museum of Messara, where many fascinating artifacts from the region are displayed.

Kyklamino Gorge - a hidden gem of nature 💙 - captivates with its raw beauty, lush greenery 💚, and peaceful silence😇. As you step into the gorge, it feels as if you’re closing the gate behind you to the outside world. 🤗

Hiking through this place is pure pleasure – stunning views at every turn, with goats and sheep accompanying you along the way, as if they were part of this magical scenery 🐐🐑🌿

The perfect spot to catch your breath and disappear from the map for a while ✨

A November walk through Kourtaliotiko is pure magic. 🍃💦☀️
Crossing under the waterfalls (the biggest summer attraction for tourists) probably won’t work now — but in return, we have the canyon and the waterfalls entirely to ourselves. After the season it’s quiet and empty — just the crystal-clear water, the canyon’s rusty walls, and the stunning waterfalls.🤗💦
🌿🌱☘️ The gorge is turning greener as new plants grow, and the air is filled with the scent of thyme and sage.
The light breaks in the water mist, and the rocks look as if they’ve finally breathed after the summer heat.
Crete at its most beautiful. ✨💙🤍🩵🥰

😍🇬🇷 Another dream come true – we’ve conquered the roof of Crete! 🏔️
At the summit of Psiloritis (2456 m a.s.l.), you truly feel the sky is within reach. 💫
At first, the clouds stubbornly guarded Psiloritis, as if they wanted to keep it all to themselves… ☁️
But eventually, they gave way – revealing breathtaking views of the Cretan and Libyan Seas. 🌅
The clouds treated us to a spectacular show, and the memory will stay in our hearts for a long time. 💙🩵🤍

Sun that still feels like summer, turquoise water straight out of a postcard, and a stunning panorama of the town from the ruins of the Venetian fortress 🏰🌅
Endless beaches, hidden coves and that slow island vibe we all love 🌊✨
There’s even a 4.5 km coastal bike path — perfect for soaking in those sea views 🚴‍♀️💙

🌿☀️Mili Gorge. Despite the heat, you can enjoy a cool walk in Crete, with the sound of a stream 💦 and the shade of trees. 🌳It’s a beautiful walk through various shades of green. Along the way, you’ll see the ruins of old buildings and water mills. There’s also a taverna where you can rest and have a refreshing fresh orange juice. On the way to the gorge, it’s worth stopping at the Monastery of Panagia Chalevi. 🙏☺️
