Many of you have ever visited an olive press. An employee there explains how (past and present) delicious oil is made from olives.
You don't know if this has given you a clear impression of how it really works.
That changes when you see the photos below. The process is (thanks to Γ. Ντελμπονακις) presented chronologically in eight images.
As you can see, the "olive paste" is filtered three times after grinding and pressing. It is then pumped into barrels or cans. Over time, the oil there will naturally clear.
