Akela - United Kingdom - June 2017
Antonis was a really welcoming host, he helped us out whenever there were any issues or questions - also had no problems with our late arrival. He also provided us with wine and fruits upon arrival, which was a nice surprise. The villa overall was so much nicer than expected. It was very well equipped, with two huge fridges, two washing machines, two dishwashers and kitchen utensils. The house was very clean, with sheets/towels being changed once in the week we stayed there. The pool was also really nice, with great views of Crete. A minor issue to mention is that the WiFi doesn't properly work by the pool or in the downstairs bit. It does, however work well in the living room of the villa and the fact that it is provided at all is not something I would usually expect on an island. Also, you definitely need a car if you're planning on staying here, as the villa is up a big hill which taxis aren't always willing to drive up. And take care when arriving at night, as the road is not lit.
