Our Story
The Villas Royal Nests are a detached modern houses of 120m2, built in 2015 with a wonderful view to the Libean Sea. It is situated just outside of the village Pitsidia a short walk of 10 minutes. The Villas are built in a site of 800m2, suitable for various activities and there is also a beautiful garden. The houses are accessible from both sides. A staircase leads to the porch from where we can see the 30m2 swimming pool, surrounded by lawn. The view is fantastic! Olive trees, vineyards, figtrees and in the horizon the sea and the small islands of Paximadia. As we enter the house we find ourselves in the modern, bright living room. There are tow sofas, a sideboard, some shelves and a T.V. A big glass door leads to the porch. Next, there is the dining room and the spacious kitchen. It is equipped with a fridge, a freezer, a dishwasher, a cooker, oven, coffee machine, a kettle, a toaster and everything necessary in a kitchen. Next to the living room there is the master bedroom with a double bed (1x80x2.00), T.V. balcony and its own bathroom. Upstairs, there is another bedroom with a double bed (1x80x2.00), and a T.V. and a second bedroom with bunkbed, suitable for children. Both bedrooms share the same veranda. There is also a bathroom there with a washing machine and a hairdryer. Of course, all the rooms are air conditioned. The Area The Villa is situated in a quiet place, near the picturesque village of Pitsidia _ 10 minutes by foot. In the village you can find a Mini market, Baker’s, traditional tavernas, cafés, rent a car, hairdresser’s and a Horse farm for a house ride, if you wish. In the village square, many music festivals take place during the summer. Around 4km away from Pitsidia is the picturesque fishing village of Matala, famous in 1960’s because of the “hippies” who lived there.Every year in July, an international music festival is organized. I would also recommend a visit to the beach of “Kokkini Ammos” ( Red Sand), a fantastic beach next to Matala, accessible only by foot. But the best beach is the one of “Komos”. It is around 20 minutes by foot, from the Villa and it is an amazing sandy beach of 5km, ideal for walks. There you can also try canoeing. Part of this beach is for nudists. In the area there is another wonderful beach :Agiofaraggo:, one of the most impressive beaches of Crete, worth visiting. It is in the exit of a Gorge, surrounded with high rocks, pebbles, sand and emerald waters. In addition, we must remind to mention the Archeological sites of Festos, Agia Triada, Gortys and of course Matala caves.
