A wonderful afternoon spent with Vasilis and Dimitra, learning all about the fascinating world of bees! 🐝🍯

We had the pleasure of visiting the museum at their main apiary, which has just opened this season. Vasilis shared his incredible knowledge and expertise with us, taking us through every step of the journey — from caring for the bees to the final delicious honey in the jar. It was truly fascinating to learn just how much care, dedication and hard work goes into every drop of honey!

🐝 Did you know? Young worker bees spend their early days inside the hive before venturing outside for their first flights. Around day seven, they may begin exploring the world beyond the hive, staying close by as they learn to fly and find their way home.

Working in harmony with nature, Vasilis and Dimitra are constantly tending to their bees, ensuring they stay happy and healthy so they can produce the most delicious honey. 🐝💛

A great afternoon spent learning something new and discovering the wonderful world of bees in Old Perithia.
