The beaches of Corfu are more than just beautiful, they are vital and on this World Sea Turtle Day we’re excited to announce our support for an initiative dedicated to caring for the sea turtles that call these shores home.

With increased nesting along the south-east coast, Mar-Bella Collection is supporting ARCHELON’s first Sea Turtle Protection Programme in Corfu for 2026. Funded through the Ionian Environment Foundation, the programme will monitor and protect loggerhead sea turtles and their habitats.

The island’s wildlife is something special, and worth taking care of. ARCHELON has been active since 1983, combining research with public engagement, with some of the longest-running conservation projects of their kind globally.
Their team is already onsite and will be onsite throughout the season.
