The location of Kantounia is ideal for calm holidays, explorations around the island and for getting to know better the life, the festivals and customs of a Chian village. They were named Kantounia, which means ‘cobblestoned streets’, reflecting the character of the medieval settlement that charms the visitor with its routes. The external wall of the buildings is hence part of the fortifications of the village, which date from the Genoese times (14th century). They preserve their original architectural elements and bring forward the character of the village. With their appropriate modern furnishing and services, they combine luxury and ergonomy with the traditional element. Additional information
Kantounia I (St. Kyriaki neighbourhood): It is a stone building on the fortified wall of the village, just across St.Kyriaki church. The apartment can host up to five people, and is on the first floor of the traditional building, accessed by a stone staircase. It has a balcony and an attic. Kantounia II (St. Constantinos neighbourhood): The ground-floor building on a picturesque street of the St. Constantinos neighbourhood can host up to 3 people, and has a back courtyard and a roof terrace. Both buildings have fully equipped bathroom and kitchen, Satellite TV, internet, fireplace, and airconditioning. They are open all year long. No breakfast is served.
