Caveland the ULTIMATE hostel experience in Santorini, GREECE. Caveland is nested in an old 18th century winery. Ours is called Karterados. Still some doubts?

We are situated in the best spot of Santorini island, right in its heart. We are just 20 minutes walk or 3 minutes drive from a beautiful and atmospheric capital of the island Fira Town. So why to spend your vacation in purpose built commercial places such as Kamari or Perissa if you can breathe the atmosphere of real Greece in one of the most picturesque and traditional villages? We know that sum

mer is a beach time and that’s why we have every morning transfer to the best black sand beaches. If you want to taste local nightlife, then capital city is where you should head. Other option is to join our bar crawls when after night out at numerous beach parties we take you safely back to your bed! Our complex consists of 8 traditional caves and numerous terraces with a big pool area and a bar. Daily organized diners help you to meet fellow travelers. Swimming pool, yoga classes or tennis court will keep you in shape even on your holidays! Breakfast and wireless internet everywhere included. So it’s the time to book with us!

O U R dog Minnie celebrated her 15th birthday yesterday! ❤️

She has been with CAVELAND since the very beginning. Born as one of seven puppies to our dog Clara in the very year we opened, she has spent the last 15 years listening in on your travel stories.

Now it’s finally time for her to live one of her own.

Yesterday, we handed Minnie over to her new owners, Maria & Gil, who did house & pet sitting for us back in 2024 and completely fell in love with her.

She now has two months of travel adventures ahead of her. Her journey has just begun—a slow 3,000 km camper van trip to her new home in the north of Portugal, with countless amazing stops along the way.

If you’re somewhere along their route, let us know and we’d be happy to connect you with Maria & Gil so you can meet Minnie on her European adventure!

As our hostel enters its final year under our management, we truly couldn’t have wished for a better retirement for Minnie. ❤️
