With deep sorrow, we bid farewell to Fotis,
the husband, the father, the creator.
Born in Lefkada, he created Surf Hotel
together with his wife in 1994,
a vision built with love for the island and its people.
He was an intelligent, sociable, honest, and kind-hearted man.
He loved life, nature, his homeland, and above all
his family, which was always at the center of his life.
He had the rare ability to see ahead,
to identify opportunities before they even emerged,
and to move forward with courage, vigor, and faith.
He worked tirelessly until the very end, with strength and dignity,
and an unquenchable need to create and grow.
Always willing to help anyone in need,
his advice and deeds will stay for a lifetime
with those who had the good fortune to meet him.
Fotis had faced death before.
Yet he never stopped living life on his own terms.
He passed away suddenly, leaving behind a great void.
But he also leaves behind something far greater:
a loving family, many beautiful memories,
and the example of a man who truly embraced life.
Rest in peace.
Until we meet again.
