Pithari holiday home on Lesvos, Greece "Pithari" (AMA 00000317481) is a fully renovated stone house in the picturesque village of Skalohori on Lesvos, one of the most beautiful islands in Greece.

This traditional two-storey semi-detached house provides the perfect base to explore the third biggest Greek island and is ideally located within easy reach of some of the most beautiful beaches and attractions. It can comfortably accommodate 5 people and lends itself to year-round holidays. There are three bedrooms, two double and one single. Upstairs (entry from the front door at ground level) a

hallway leads to the light-filled master bedroom and bathroom and then to the living room and a compact but fully-equipped kitchen. The small fireplace and exposed stone is the focal point of the cosy combined dining and lounge room. The French doors lead out to a wonderful stone-paved terrace of 25 square metres. You may, in fact, spend most of your time here as there is an outdoor setting with umbrella and daybed. A wooden and iron staircase leads downstairs (entry is also possible from the lock-up garage) to a very spacious twin bedroom, a further single bedroom, and a full bathroom. All bedrooms have built-in robes and storage area. The back door leads to the garage. The house has central heating but is not air-conditioned. This is because even in the hottest summer days, the altitude of the village and its micro-climate mean that it is cooler than the surrounding areas. The house also receives a cool breeze from the sea and there is a wall mounted fan in the living room.

Our Story

It can comfortably accommodate 5 people and lends itself to year-round holidays. There are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and open-plan living/dining area and a lock-up garage. The house has central heating and air-conditioning on the top floor. We find that the lower level stays much cooler even on the hottest summer days due the altitude of the village and its micro-climate.

“Pithari” is our family holiday home so it is fully equipped with everything you need to make your holiday enjoyable and comfortable.

“Pithari” is a traditional clay pot used to store oil or grain - we found three of these in the basement of the house and we cleaned them up. You can now find them around the house resting in hand-mate wrought iron stands.

The French doors in the living area lead out to a wonderful stone-paved terrace of 25 square metres. You may, in fact, spend most of your time here as there is an outdoor setting with umbrella and daybed.
