💙 Stop scrolling… THIS is your sign to go to Mykonos! 🇬🇷✈️
The sun slowly sinks into the Aegean, turning the sea to liquid gold. 🌅 Gentle waves reach the shore while the whitewashed houses of Little Venice glow beneath the famous windmills. For a few magical minutes, everything feels perfectly still. 🌊✨
💡 Did you know? Mykonos' famous windmills were built to harness the strong Cycladic winds and were once used primarily to grind grain. 🌬️

You have ONE perfect evening in Mykonos—what are you doing first? 🍷🌅🚶👇

🇬🇷 In our Greek house, family is everything. 💙

We’re not perfect. We make mistakes, we forgive, we laugh, we cry, we pray, and we always find our way back to one another.

We give second chances, endless hugs, and love with our whole hearts. And above all, we live with filotimo — honour, kindness, respect and doing what is right. 🙏🏼

Because in a Greek home, you’re never just family… you’re FAMILY for life. 🇬🇷💙

A little taste of Greece, straight from the kitchen. 🇬🇷❤️

Golden, creamy béchamel layered over tender eggplant and rich, fragrant minced beef — Greek Moussaka is the ultimate comfort food.

A dish made for long lunches, family around the table, and that feeling of being back in a Greek kitchen. 🇬🇷🍆

Καλή όρεξη! 🇬🇷🇬🇷 Traditional Greek Moussaka

🛒 Ingredients

For the layers:

* 2 large eggplants, thinly sliced
* Olive oil, for roasting
* Salt

For the meat sauce:

* 300 g beef mince
* 1 onion, finely chopped
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 400 g chopped tomatoes
* 2 tbsp tomato paste
* 1 tsp dried oregano
* Salt & freshly ground black pepper
* Olive oil

For the béchamel:

* 500 ml béchamel sauce, homemade or ready-made

👩🏻‍🍳 Method

1. Prepare the eggplant:
Slice the eggplants, lightly season with salt and brush with olive oil. Roast at 200°C until tender and lightly golden.
2. Make the meat sauce:
Heat a little olive oil in a pan. Sauté the onion and garlic, then add the beef mince and cook until browned. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer until the sauce becomes thick and rich.
3. Layer the moussaka:
In a baking dish, arrange a layer of eggplant, followed by the meat sauce. Add another layer of eggplant, then generously spread the béchamel over the top.
4. Bake:
Bake at 180°C for approximately 40 minutes, or until the top is beautifully golden and bubbling.
5. Rest before serving:
Allow the moussaka to rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing. This helps the layers hold together.

Ornos Beach 🏖️
If you’re looking for a calm beach close to Mykonos Town, Ornos Beach is a solid pick. It’s not huge, but it has clear water, shallow entry, and plenty of spots to relax or grab a bite.
Ornos is on the southwest coast of Mykonos. It’s a small sandy/pebble beach with lots of beach clubs, restaurants, and bars. People come here for swimming, sunbathing, and a chill day by the sea. The vibe is relaxed but can get busy in summer.
Must sees:
The calm, crystal-clear waters—great for swimming and snorkeling.
The sheltered bay with a gentle slope into the sea.
Local beachside restaurants like Kostantis or To Apomero for seafood and sea views.
Must dos:
Arrive early if you want a sunbed, especially in peak summer.
Try walking along the beach past the clubs for quieter, free spots.
Take the local bus from Mykonos Town for a cheap, easy ride.
What’s near:
Platis Gialos Beach is just 2 km away, and Psarou is about 1.5 km. Mykonos Town is a short bus ride, so you can easily combine a beach day with a bit of shopping or sightseeing.
Important rules:
Most sunbeds are rented—check prices first.
Music can be loud near beach clubs, quieter further along.
Keep an eye on your belongings; the beach can get crowded.

Where it is & what it’s like:
Little Venice sits at the edge of Mykonos Town (Chora), with whitewashed Venetian-style houses built over the sea. People come here to walk along the waterfront, snap photos, enjoy drinks or meals at the seaside bars, and watch the sunset. The vibe is lively, especially in the afternoons and evenings, but mornings are peaceful if you prefer a quieter visit.

🇬🇷🌿 Greek Mountain Tea — a little taste of Greece in every cup. ☕️

Known as Tsai tou Vounou (τσάι του βουνού), Greek Mountain Tea has been enjoyed for generations, gathered from the beautiful mountains of Greece and traditionally enjoyed for its soothing, comforting qualities.

There’s something special about sitting down with a warm cup, slowing down, and enjoying a little piece of Greece one sip at a time. ❤️🇬🇷
