After 15 years working on reception in White River Cottages, we now say goodbye to Susan Hopkins Carpenter, who is retiring. We are sorry to see her go but wish her a long, happy and above all, healthy retirement. Thank you for your dedication, help and good humour. You will be missed by staff and guests alike.

You have found a magic hideaway, a secret well kept by those in the know. In the Aspros Potamos (White River) Valley, just half a mile from the shore in the south-east corner of Crete, thirteen unique cottages lie scattered among groves of olive, pine and carob.

Due to the exceptional circumstances caused by the COVID-19 crisis, White River Cottages regrets that it will remain closed for the 2020 season.

We thank everyone for their understanding during this difficult and disappointing time and we hope to open up the system for 2021 bookings later in the year.

Due to the exceptional circumstances caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and the uncertainty surrounding travel and tourism for the immediate future, White River Cottages is currently closed and regrets that, at present, it is unable to accept further reservations for the 2020 season.
