🌊 A hidden treasure beneath the waters of Methoni.

Just off the coast of Methoni lies one of the area’s most fascinating underwater secrets: the Shipwreck of Sarcophagi.

Scattered across the seabed are dozens of ancient stone sarcophagi, believed to have been transported by a Roman ship that sank before reaching its destination. Today, they rest peacefully underwater, creating one of the most unique dive sites in Greece.

✨ Fun fact: The wreck is located in relatively shallow, crystal-clear waters, making it a favourite spot for experienced snorkellers and divers during calm summer days.
