In our Villa Daphnis and Chloe, following the tradition of the Greek houses from the past, the main kitchen with the oven and the fireplace is not inside the house but in the garden next to a huge fig-tree. This outdoor and common kitchen is the perfect place for the guests to meet for breakfast, to cook together and to share recipes from all around the world. Sharing food is also sharing culture, and multicultural meetings is all we wish for our Villa Daphnis and Chloe!
Twenty five years ago, the two couples working at our hotels, came from Albania as migrants to Lesvos, Few days ago, one of their sisters has visited us with her family. In our Villa’s kitchen, we listened first a beautiful song from Cyprus, sang by our last choir retreat. As a thank you, our Albanian family answered with a traditional song from Albania.
