SMM Hamburg 2026 has come to an end, leaving us with new connections and exciting opportunities ahead.

As we reflect on an inspiring week, we would like to thank everyone who visited the Laros by Prisma Electronics stand and contributed to the exchange of ideas and perspectives throughout the exhibition.

Over the four days of SMM, we had the opportunity to meet with shipowners, fleet operators, partners and maritime professionals from across the world, exchanging perspectives on the future of digital shipping and sustainable maritime operations.

These conversations don't end here.

We look forward to continuing the dialogue, exploring new opportunities for collaboration and supporting the maritime industry with intelligent, data-driven solutions.

European maritime priorities in focus at the Laros stand during SMM 2026.

LAROS by Prisma Electronics was honoured to host representatives of the European Commission at our stand at SMM Hamburg 2026 for a focused session on the priorities and opportunities shaping the future of Europe’s maritime sector.

The discussion explored the EU Industrial Maritime Strategy and EU Ports Strategy, the future framework of Horizon Europe 2028-2034, and the Zero-Emission Waterborne Transport Partnership, highlighting the role of research, innovation and collaboration in strengthening the competitiveness, sustainability and resilience of the European maritime ecosystem.

The session also provided practical insights into Horizon Europe applications, from understanding call requirements and defining clear outcomes and impacts to building effective work plans and strong project teams.

For LAROS by Prisma Electronics, hosting this discussion at SMM reflects the importance of connecting technology and maritime innovation with the broader European priorities driving the sector forward.

Our first day in Hamburg has been all about meeting people from across the international maritime community, exchanging ideas and discussing the challenges shipping companies face every day.

How can vessels operate more efficiently? How can crews and shore teams have a clearer picture of what is happening onboard? And how can real-time information lead to better decisions?

These are exactly the conversations we're having at SMM and where LAROS comes into the picture, turning vessel data into useful information that supports smarter and more efficient operations.
