Some surprises take just a few weeks to plan. Some become memories that last a lifetime. ❤️

Just one month before arriving at ELaiolithos, Tiffany reached out to us with a beautiful idea.

She wanted to surprise her husband with a vow renewal ceremony in the heart of Naxos—a celebration of their journey together, surrounded by breathtaking views, nature, and the people they love most.

From that moment on, we worked together to create an experience that reflected their story.

Every detail was thoughtfully planned—from the ceremony itself and a homemade cake prepared according to their favorite flavors, to the celebratory drinks, traditional local musicians, and an evening filled with laughter, heartfelt embraces, and dancing beneath the Naxian sky.

One of the greatest privileges for me, as the founder of ELaiolithos, was writing a personal poem for Tiffany and Jacob—a small gift to honor their journey, the years they have shared, and the promises they chose to renew.

There were smiles.

There were tears.

There were moments of quiet reflection.

And there were moments of pure joy.

At ELaiolithos, we believe every celebration should reflect the people at its heart. Rather than offering a standard package, we take the time to understand each couple and create an experience inspired by their story, their personalities, and what matters most to them.🥀

This philosophy has guided ELaiolithos since the very beginning, and it continues to inspire everything we do.

I have three wonderful sisters-in-law, but today I want to tell you about one of them… Marina. ❤️

Every week, I visit our family shop in the village of to pick up the artisan cheeses we proudly serve to our guests at ELaiolithos. Alongside the cheeses, Marina has filled the shop with beautiful local handicrafts and treasures made by her and other talented artisans.

Every single time I go, I tell myself, “Helen, you’re only here for the cheeses.” 😂

Well… that never happens.

I always find something I love, and somehow I walk out with a gift! 🤣

Today’s unexpected treasure is this colorful handmade hat. 🌈

But that’s Marina. Her generosity comes naturally. Her heart is as open as the door to her home. I never knock —I simply open the door, walk in, and I’m home.

We’ve been family for 28 years, and I still feel incredibly lucky. She’s calm, kind, genuine, and one of those people who makes life a little brighter just by being herself.

At ELaiolithos, we often say that our guests experience the real Naxos. That experience isn’t created only by our chef or our recipes. It’s created by the people behind them—the cheesemaker, the artisan, the local producer, the family… and wonderful people like Marina.

Marina, thank you for another beautiful “gift.” I think the only thing more colorful than this hat is your generous heart. Love you! ❤️

Last evening, we had the honor of hosting a beautiful vow renewal ceremony at ELaiolithos for Tiffany and Jacob, surrounded by the breathtaking mountain horizon of Naxos and the timeless beauty of Mount Zas. Their daughter, Ayla, stood beside them as they renewed the promises they made 27 years ago, making the moment even more meaningful.

Watching a couple choose each other once again is a reminder that love isn't measured by the day you say "I do," but by every day you continue to choose one another.
