Palaios Panteleimonas is a beautifully restored stone village on the slopes of Mount Olympus - almost 500 metres above the Aegean and only a short drive from the Platamonas coast.
Wander cobbled lanes, pause beneath the old plane tree in the village square, discover the Church of Agios Panteleimon, enjoy a traditional mountain lunch and take in views towards the sea and Platamon Castle.
Its story goes back to the 14th century. After being nearly abandoned in the 1950s, the village was revived from the 1980s and remains protected for its distinctive Macedonian architecture.
For families staying at Cronwell Platamon Resort, it is the perfect half-day escape: sea, Splash Park, Mount Olympus and a little piece of old Greece - all in one day.
