BIRDIE: as the swallows hatch along the shores of Sithonia, so does BIRDIE, the newest member of The Bird Yachting Co.’s fleet and an invitation for couples to discover Halkidiki from an entirely new vantage point. It begins at the picturesque small harbour of Latoura At the Diaporos Island, guests slip into waters of up to 25°C/ 77 °F, snorkelling among shells, exploring by SeaBob or stand-up paddleboard, or simply drying on a sun-warmed stone at shore.

Mastic, lemon, mint. The first iced sip of summer at The Danai Bar.

This season, that fresh and summery spirit translates directly into the bar itself. Handcrafted dark silver floral ornaments unfurl along the bar front and climb across the ceiling, their intricate scrollwork framing cascading capiz shell chandeliers that shimmer with every sea breeze. On the lower deck, petal-shaped lamps cast a soft, warm glow as the sun sets over the Aegean.

Behind the bar stands Christos, head bartender and the creative force behind The Danai’s signature drinks selection.

The Squirrel is not only dining under countless stars, it is dining with 3 FNL stars. Executive Chef Vasilis Mouratidis and his team are the artists, the ingredients their colours. Land and sea, vine and season blend onto the plate like pigment onto canvas.

The FNL Guide is the highest distinction available in Halkidiki, Greece. Three stars and an experience that is threefold: the finest local catch or carefully selected meats, the freshest fruits and vegetables of the season and the best of the vine, from a wine list of 1,700 labels curated to complement every plate.

The Squirrel has only 5 tables and a 10-year consecutive FNL stars count of 3 Stars.
Reservations subject to confirmation. We cater for pescatarians.

The Andromeda Restaurant with 2 Stars is an à la carte Fine Dining Venue on an iconic marble terrace with Aegean vistas.

A Jubilee- Opening:
From an idyllic guesthouse to one of the most distinguished luxury retreats in Greece, The Danai stands for continuity, craftsmanship and a family vision that was given half a century to grow, remaining true to its roots throughout.

Upon this year’s opening, the reimagined Pool Suites look out over the estate’s own vineyard and the Aegean Sea.
A new fashionable Main Pool Design awaits in the heart of the Resort and the Philosophy Bar blooms in floral, artistic glamour. Renewals stretch onto the private sandy beach, with novelties awaiting in the Cabanas and Beach facilities.

BIRDIE, a 48-foot Princess yacht, joins THE BIRD Yacht Fleet as its youngest member, setting course for the Blue Lagoon of the Diaporos island and the UNESCO-protected shores of Mount Athos.

The Noble House invites you to a tour and taste over 1.700 Etiquettes of hand-selected Wines over 1.500 square meters. This venue is the very first concept with a 130m long wine cellar, turned into a wine museum, and bottle museum offering guided tours by an expert. It even includes a cheese “Living room” to admire the ripening produce, a wine sampling room, and finally a secluded sew view and vineyard view terrace. Within the complex underground construction of the Noble House, one finds also an event kitchen and outdoor seating for wine-pairing evenings. Its unique architecture resembles local monasteries, with large sandstone walls that are covered by ivy and bougainvillea, combining all of nature’s gifts in one corner of the Hotel grounds.

2024 we have undergone another large renovation project during the winter and since the opening our guests are welcome to explore our luxe SPA and Wellness facilities, treatment rooms, Sauna oasis and the brand new fitness facilities!
