At dusk, when the sky darkens without fading completely, the gentle light of the cave houses flickers on like a constellation upon the earth. From the terrace of Heliophos, one gazes upon a tangle of white and ochre forms, hidden stairways, ancient doors, and secluded courtyards — each a sign of a still-living memory.
