PELOPONNESE LIVING - BE PART OF ACTIVE VILLAGE LIFE

Greek hosts feel a strong sense of "philoxenia". Our word for hospitality. The opposite of making foreigners feel uncomfortable. "Turning strangers into friends." And when some of these friends tell us stuff, we want to repeat those feelings to others. So YOU can find YOUR in our beautiful country too. Where the mountain meets the sea is Arcadian Marina village life.

It also helps if the Greeks tell you surprising snippets. Give you stories of past and current Greece. It is amazing when the land and sea start to speak to you. If you can understand their stories about their 2,000 year old trees, their language, their dances, their music, their special yummy food, and their nature of Othodox rituals. In Peloponnese, everything seems to "MEAN" something. And that gives me a sense of belonging I experience less in my own country."

We help you to find certified guides, show you olive oil, aloe vera and cheese farms. Sailing boats, fishing trips, and volunteering. We help you research your Greek roots.

We are here for whatever you want to exprience and we make you feel you belong here. Every first Sunday of the month, we host a Greek-International gathering in Paralio Astros. Mostly, we have around 40-50 people present. Your next friends? Next gathering June 7. 12PM-3PM with a lunch in the village afterward. Ask us anything you like. And be part of our community.

Only 100 m from sea and marina, the platia is our centre of the action. We have an amphitheater, many restaurants and bars, and a hill hosting tortoises and the most amazing butterflies. The views are wedding-picture backgrounds.

Welcome to our village called STAR = Astros. Paralio means beach.

Tired & Proud, we want to thank our staff, Ms Eleni and Ornela, my partner Thodoris, our volunteers Ms Olympia and all of the Kynouria Hosts and Peloponnese Living Greek and expat volunteers for helping us make a successful event out of Aphrodite's Arrival in the Astros port and the succeeding dinner event.

We hosted Cypriot visitors, many long stay foreigners, solo travelers and digital nomads. We made them all yummy breakfasts, took them with us to the event, and organized the event itself, the decorations and coordination of music/dance programs by the cultural unions.

Feel very welcome to join us in Castle View Studios (100 m from the beach) for future events!

Paralio Astros is the central exploring place to be when you are Exploring Peloponnese and want to get a feel for Greek Life with Greek Culture, food, song, and dance.

LAST WEEK, OUR STUDIOS WERE FILLED WITH THE TIRED FEET OF A HIKING GROUP FROM NETHERLANDS - minds full of adventure stories.

Paralio Astros is a village in which people know each other. And when you arrive, the locals feel philoxenia - hospitality, turning strangers into friends - no need for Greek language here, but if you try, they like it.

Everything is close by. A cute marina, the 2,500 year old olive tree in Koutroufa, Moustos Healing Well, Parnon Mountains. The Arcadian coastline is 100 km of beauty, accessible sea, exploring, and small hidden beaches. Our beaches have handy elevators for handicapped people to get in and out easily.

And if you want a city for a day, just hop off to Nafplio, Argos, Tripoli and other local beauties. Nothing is far in Peloponnese. And the beauty is that it is not a Greek island. You can explore by car everywhere, go to the mainland, drive through Balkan to the rest of Europe...

And when you want to be sailing, we give you the contacts to sailing boats, fishing trips, best hiking places, and mountain walking guides if you want them. Explore Peloponnese will show you the best waterfalls, rock monasteries, keep you safe in mountains where GPS is often not working, and tell you all myths and magic.

STUDIOS WITH KITCHENETTE AND BIG BALCONY, NOT JUST ROOMS.

We are a cosy getaway home away from home for couples and solo travelers, groups and Peloponnese Explorers. 100m from village with cure marina and 3 beaches. And the good thing is, it comes with local Greek-International community. We are the co-founders of Peloponnese Living, hosting member Q&A and organizing gatherings.

We welcome foreigners and Greeks alike for our 10 days pay, a full month stay Oct-May. It gives you time to explore longer and we will happily introduce you to people for exploring your Greek roots, to real estate agents and lawyers. Go with the locals and clean beaches, do turtle watch in nature2000, help us strategize against the polluting fish farms and wildfire prone windmills, help in the animal shelter or find your dancing workshops and teach the locals kids English.
We organize Christmas villages, beach parties, and more.

Castle View Studios is the center of Arcadian community life and our project Peloponnese Living. We love to build bridges between expats, solo travellers, digital nomads, and Greek community. Philoxenia is our middle name.

March 8 was International Women's Day at the farm of aloe vera . A farm to our heart arranging welness for our guests.

Every first Sunday of the month we organise an international gathering in Astros. Feel welcome. Our topics have already been wine tasting, olive oil, aloe vera, sailing, fishing and whales who give their children names. Our friends organize hiking, rafting, and nature walks full of mythical stories. Parnon mountain is our mountain. But our hotel welcomes you to a choice of 3 beaches and a village.
