Is one of the world's longest multi-span cable-stayed bridges and longest of the fully suspended type with his 2,380-metre-long . It crosses the Gulf of Corinth near Patras, linking the town of Rio on the Peloponnese peninsula to Antirrio on mainland Greece by road. It opened one day before the Athens 2004 Summer Olympics, on 12 August 2004, and was used to transport the Olympic flame.
Charilaos Trikoupis was a 19th-century prime minister of Greece who suggested building a bridge in the current location but the wealth of Greece at the time didn't permit its construction.
The bridge was inaugurated on 7 August 2004 .
It was one of the most challenging bridges ever, but with a result to say the least wonderful that greets our sea with its pentastellate structure!

In Greece the Carnival is called Apokries, a Greek word that literally means "abstinence from meat". The Greek Carnival boasts an ancient tradition and therefore lasts three weeks. "It's always carnival"
This is the historic motto of Patras.

This is the historic motto of Patras. Taking part in this colorful party is an experience that must be lived at least once in a lifetime: continuous fun, dances, floats, masquerade parties and the famous treasure hunt, a custom inaugurated in 1966.
Throughout the year the insiders are dedicated to the preparation of the carnival: artisans and artists work with imagination, cut and sew colorful clothes, prepare the floats: the result is a party loved by young and old.
Attending and participating in the carnival is a real experience!

The Archaeological Museum of Patras, inaugurated on July 24, 2009, with 8000 m² is the second largest museum in Greece, after that of the Acropolis of Athens. The museum traces the history of the region and the city from prehistoric times to the end of the Roman era.
There is also a conference room and a computer room for educational activities under a titanium dome. It also has an amphitheater, a dining room, maintenance workshops, ancient warehouses and outdoor spaces, with parking for visitors.

The Orthodox Church of St. Andrew is the largest church in the Balkans. Is one of the most important Greek Orthodox places of worship in the city of Patras and Greece. Built to house the relics of St. Andrew, it was begun in 1908 and completed in 1974.
