The Archaeological Museum of Patras, inaugurated on July 24, 2009, with 8000 m² is the second largest museum in Greece, after that of the Acropolis of Athens. The museum traces the history of the region and the city from prehistoric times to the end of the Roman era.
There is also a conference room and a computer room for educational activities under a titanium dome. It also has an amphitheater, a dining room, maintenance workshops, ancient warehouses and outdoor spaces, with parking for visitors.
