We promise you a simply unique stay. Torri e Merli is built on the green eastern hill overlooking Lakka’s pretty harbour. The hillside is a maze of traditional pathways and tracks, created over centuries, winding through the shade of the olive trees with their gnarled, twisted, pitted trunks, and leading to the hidden hamlets, churches and coves in the north of the island. Torri e Merli has been created in the middle of an olive grove among stone terraces and gardens. The natural environment is intoxicating as perfumes from wild flowers and Mediterranean plants fill the air. Narcissi, anemone, wild roses and sage, which carpet the island of Paxos, have given their names to the seven suites of this historic building. The building has been renovated to the highest architectural and aesthetic standards to preserve and enhance its structure and history with stone, glass, wood and iron combining traditional with contemporary, creating strength and beauty. The turrets with their well preserved battlements lend an air of enchantment, and reinforce the romance of the island, and of the building.
