Named after Saint Efimia, the village holds a festival in her honour each year. Saint Efimia's icon is carried to the harbour fron the church on the evening of 11 July to be blessed.A procession of local priests, a marching band and villagers accompany the icon. Festivities then take place around the harbour with folklore music, singing and dancing. There is also a street market on this day.
