Dove si incontrano il sale dell'Egeo, l'architettura del secolo scorso in palazzi riccamente ornati, l'arte degli ultimi maestri d'ascia le cui navi attraversavano il Mediterraneo per portare merci, oli, saponi e ricette segrete e odori di ouzo, lì, lassù sul Sui ciottoli della spiaggia di Kokkina Marmara, o Plakakia a Plomari, la patria dell'ouzo, dei banchetti, della marineria e delle olive, nel sud di L***o, furono costruite le stanze della famiglia di Manolis Armenakas e Maria Gazilas.

Where the salt of the Aegean sea meet, the architecture of the last century in ornate mansions, the art of the last shipwrights whose ships crossed the Mediterranean to bring goods, oils, soaps and secret recipes and smells of ouzo, there, up on the pebbles of Kokkina Marmara beach, or Plakakia in Plomari, the home of ouzo, feasting, seafaring and olives, in southern Lesvos, the rooms of the family of Manolis Armenakas and Maria Gazilas were built.
