The Lotus Tree Hotel & Activity Lodge, Portaria Traditional mansion 4* ‘The Lotus Tree’, is a renovated mansion house dating from 1884, built by an Egyptian tobacco merchant in the Neo-classic style.

It has 4 triple and 4 double rooms all built to the highest standards. Two rooms are designed with interconnecting doors to form a family room for up to 5. Each room is individually styled with concealed lighting, hardwood floors, beautiful bathrooms of granite, stone and mosaic tile, and features such as exposed wooden ceiling beams brought from Mt. Athos during the renovation. Half of the Hotel

is devoted completely to guest space in order to ensure a more individual and relaxing experience, and luxury facilities such as the Lotus Spa are standard. Drinks from the Café-bar can be enjoyed on the café terrace with panoramic views to Volos or Makrinitsa or in the evenings in the large fireside lounge. As the Hotel is situated in the village centre, within a minute's walk of the main square and all amenities, visiting the local restaurants and cafes is also easy.

Ο Ξενώνας Στα τέλη του 19ου αιώνα, στη δύση της Οθωμανικής αυτοκρατορίας, πλούσιοι έμποροι επέστρεφαν από την Βόρειο Αφρική και την Μικρά Ασία για να κατασκευάσουν μεγάλα αρχοντικά σπίτια στο Πήλιο. Με πέτρινους τοίχους πάχους ενός μέτρου το Lotus Tree χτίστηκε το 1884 από έναν καπνέμπορο ο οποίος γυρνούσε από την Αίγυπτο και κατοικήθηκε από την οικογένειά του μέχρι τον μεγάλο σεισμό του 1953-4 Κατά την ανακαίνιση του χώρου ανακαλύφθηκαν πολλά βιβλία και περιοδικά από την χρονιά του σεισμού όπως το περιοδικό ‘Elle’ με εξώφυλλα διασήμων όπως η “Grace Kelly και ο Marlon Brando αλλά και το περιοδικό “Γυναίκα”. Τα περιοδικά αυτά εκτίθενται παντού μέσα στο Αρχοντικό ως έργα τέχνης μαζί με άλλα αντικείμενα όπως οι αυθεντικές βαριές ξύλινες πόρτες εισόδου. Ανακαινισμένο με κάθε λεπτομέρεια και υψηλά πρότυπα, το Αρχοντικό είναι πανέτοιμο να καλωσορίσει τους επισκέπτες που θα έρθουν για να αναζητήσουν τον απαράμιλο συνδυασμό θάλασσας, βουνού, δάσους και νερών που προσφέρει το μοναδικό Πήλιο.
