In the small alleys of the island, you will discover the hidden gems of the island. Loyal to the traditional architecture principles of the Niohori area, the Amarada city suites are stone built, wi
th the distinctive arches at their entrance and the famous rhodian mosaics on their floor. The Suites are located in the heart of Rhodes, just a few minutes away from the beach. Passing through the stone gate of our pearly white painted hotel, you will find yourself standing on a patio with a cobbled ground, just like the ones in the streets of the Old town. The neutral colors surrounding the suites serve for a relaxing yet beautiful aesthetic. It consists of two floors, one suite upstairs and one downstairs, both of them coming with a kitchen. A basic material used to build the Amarada City Suites is porolith. The famous natural rock has its origins in Greek mythology and has been used to build many famous temples and buildings of Rhodes, such as: The Medieval Town of Rhodes, Grande Albergo Delle Rose (the Casino of Rhodes) and even the temple of god Apollon and Ancient Stadium of Rhodes. Porolith is found in great variety in Greece, Sicily, as well as Asia Minor. A treasure which gives the characteristic image of the architecture of the island. The Amarada City suites’ floor is made of a traditional monochrome mosaic that utilizes native beach pebbles. This art springs out from the Dodecanese tradition and on the island of Rhodes it’s called “hohlaki” (the small pebble). There are two suites available, one on the top floor (Nostalgia) and one on the ground floor (Lithi). The stair leading you to the suite on the top floor is also made out of the traditional Greek stones which totally brings you in the Mediterranean atmosphere. Both suites are accommodated with a garderobe and a closet so you can make yourself as comfortable as possible and feel at home. The suite on the ground floor ‘’Lithi’’ is meant for two adults and one child whilst the upstairs suite ‘’Nostalgia’’ is for three adults and one child maximum.
