Dear friends, guests, staffs,
Usually these days are joyful, everyone is waiting for Christmas and the new years eve, people are expecting to gather with their families and chill out, resting and putting away for a while the stress of the daily routine.
Unfortunately this is not the case for my staff and me. Since the end of November, our Hotel, our second home has been foreclosed from our creditor bank. Our ex bosses have lost the business and for sure they will be not involved in Kalithea Sun again.
So suddenly, just in a couple of moments things have turned round together with our life. I myself need permission to enter the Hotel and my office in order to take personal belongings.
As anyone can understand, the situation is depressing.
All of us have dedicated years, sweat, effort, and loyalty to the place. We have felt joy, sorrow, gratefulness and appreciation, anger and fury. I think that we have felt almost any feeling that human beings can feel. Besides the memories, we are happy that we met all of you, the people that have been coming again and again to see usand share joyful or sad moments with my staff and myself.
Although what will happen is still unknown, for sure the bank will look for a new company to either rent, lease or even buy the Hotel. However, this can take some time as it is a matter of negotiations and procedures. But the possibility that it will eventually operate in 2018 is not small.
Therefore, as it is not time to risk, i have suggested to my staff to start looking for a new work and have already supported a few with references to potential employers. Some I will probably take with me to my new occupation.
Definitely things will not be the same and I think that a new chapter of our life has just started.
I would like to thank personally all of you, for the precious moments that we have shared all these years. My staff for being there when i needed them, our suppliers for their support at difficult times, our clients for honouring us with their presence.

Liebe Freunde, Gäste und Mitarbeiter
Eigentlich ist die Vorweihnachtszeit geprägt von Vorfreude. Jeder wartet auf das Weihnachtsfest und den Jahreswechsel. Endlich Zeit für die Familie, das Nichtstun, abseits vom Stress.
Leider ist das nicht der Fall für mein Team und mich. Ende November, unser Hotel, unser zweites Zuhause wurde von unserer Bank geschlossen. Unsere EX-Chefs haben das Hotel verloren und sie werden es nicht wieder zurückbekommen.
So plötzlich, von einem Moment zu anderen, haben sich die Dingen in unserem Leben verändert. Ich brauche eine Genehmigung das Hotel und mein ehemaliges Büro zu betreten um Dinge zu regeln. So kann sich jeder vorstellen, die Situation ist sehr deprimierend.
Wir alle waren lange Jahre loyal mit diesem Ort verbunden, mit allem was an Erinnerungen dazu gehört. Wir sind glücklich euch alle kennen gelernt zu haben, besonders die Stammgäste, die uns sehr lange die Treue gehalten haben und wunderbare Momente mit uns verbracht haben.
Was weiter gesehen wird ist noch offen. Sicher ist, die Bank sucht einen neuen Investor. Das kann einige Zeit dauern, oder aber bereits 2018 geschehen. Für das Team und meine Person wäre es ein zu großes Risiko darauf zu warten. So habe ich meinem Team geraten sich auf andere Jobangebote zu bewerben. Einige werde ich mitnehmen zu meiner neuen Tätigkeit. Definitiv werden die Dinge nicht mehr so sein, wie sie waren. Ein neues Kapitel hat begonnen.
Ich möchte mich bei jedem von euch bedanken für die vielen kostbaren Momente, die wir gemeinsam geteilt haben; in den vergangenen Jahren. Dem Team für einen unermüdlichen Einsatz, den Lieferanten für die Unterstützung in schwierigen Zeiten und ganz besonders unseren Stammgästen für Ihre Treue.
