The Country House for 6 is a recently renovated two bedroom fully detached villa able to host up to 6 adults. The 1000 m2 garden surrounding the property provides privacy and a relaxing natural environment. The country house is ideal for families, big groups or couples who are seeking a calm place with plenty of outdoor space to spend their holidays.
The space
The property is a fully detached house of 80 m2 in the middle of a 1000 m2 garden with citrus and pine trees, roses and vines. There are two bedrooms, a living room with a fireplace, a kitchen, a bathroom and an entrance hall. Apart from from the large garden around the house, there are also two balconies where you can enjoy your breakfast in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.
The neighborhood
The house is situated in the picturesque and lively village of Maritsa 8 km away from Airport Diagoras of Rhodes. There are many taverns in the village where you can taste traditional Greek delicacies (called “meze” in Greek). Maritsa is well known for its food, the friendly residents and the joyful local festivals. The natural beauty of its location is more than satisfying. You will find many small country churches scattered around the village, hidden in pine tree forests and olive oil groves. The most popular one is “Sotiras”, situated on the slopes of mountain “Koumouli” overlooking the village and the eastern side of Rhodes coast. The view is breathtaking!
Getting around
Maritsa village is well connected with the city of Rhodes by bus. There is a bus stop very close to the house and a timetable is provided. The beach is around 10 km away and you can choose the west pebbly or the east sandy beaches because Maritsa is right in the middle of both sides.
Guest access
The guests have access to all indoor and outdoor spaces of the house.
Interaction with guests
Guests will have undisturbed freedom but I will be available 24/7 for any information or help.
Other things to note
This property was under renovation till the end of June 2017. The renovation project included :
1. Old wooden windows were replaced by new aluminium double glass.
2. AC units were installed in bedrooms-living room
3. House was painted inside-outside
4. Bathroom appearance and functionality improved
5. Yard wall was restored and a new fence was added.
6. Garden was cleaned and all trees-plants were trimmed.
7. Furniture for indoor outdoor use were added.
