Η ορχήστρα του θεάτρου των Γιτάνων σχηματίζει έναν πλήρη κύκλο, ενώ το σκηνικό του οικοδόμημα ήταν ορθογώνιο και στεγασμένο με πήλινα κεραμίδια που έχουν θρυμματιστεί σε τέτοιο βαθμό ώστε ούτε ένα δεν σώθηκε ακέραιο. Η θυμέλη της ορχήστρας (βωμός) βρέθηκε μετακινημένη, κοντά στον στυλοβάτη του προσκηνίου. Πολλά από τα εδώλια των 28 σειρών του αρχαίου μνημείου, έχουν στην μπροστινή πλευρά τους χαραγμένα #ονόματα, όπως Αλέξανδρος, Μενέδαμος, Τιμόδαμος, Κέφαλος, Δόκιμος, Παυσανίας και άλλα. Πολλά από τα εδώλια είναι κατάγραφα με απελευθερωτικές πράξεις, πράξεις δηλαδή απελευθέρωσης δούλων.
The orchestra of the ancient theater of Gitana, forms a full circle, while its floor was constructed of packed gravel and soil and its thymele (altar) had been disturbed and was discovered near the stylobate. The stage building was rectangular and had a roof, but none of the clay roof tiles survived intact. The cavea has a maximum diameter of 65 meters and is comprised of 28 seating rows separated by two diazomata A large number of seat tiers have carved at the front: Alexandros, Menedamos, Timodamos, Kefalos, Dokimos, Pausanias and many more. Many seat rows are inscribed with acts of manumission, that is, the acts of owners freeing their slaves.
