Happy OXI Day from Greece.
On 28 October 1940, Greece said a simple word: “Oxi.” It wasn’t a cry of triumph, but of courage — the refusal to surrender to Mussolini’s ultimatum.
That morning marked not peace, but the beginning of war. Yet for Greeks, it became a day of pride. Because in Greece, heroism lies not in winning, but in standing tall even when defeat seems certain.
