This summer, Alai Crete, a Tribute Portfolio Resort, welcomes SYNDESIS, a solo weaving art exhibition by Alexandra Theocharis, founder of KLOTHÒ.
Inspired by the Greek word syndesis, meaning "connection," the exhibition explores the invisible threads that unite people, materials, traditions, and places through the timeless language of weaving. Rooted in traditional craftsmanship yet expressed through a contemporary visual perspective, each work celebrates the enduring dialogue between heritage and design.
Each handwoven work invites viewers to experience weaving beyond its traditional function—through texture, structure, and materiality. Balancing heritage with contemporary aesthetics, the collection encourages a slower, more contemplative encounter with art and craftsmanship.
