Every year, humanity generates between 2.1 billion and 2.3 billion tonnes of municipal solid waste. Some 2.7 billion people lack access to waste collection, 2 billion of whom live in rural areas. Waste pollution significantly threatens human well-being, economic prosperity, and the triple planetary crisis of climate change, nature and biodiversity loss, and pollution. Without urgent action, annual municipal solid waste generation will hit 3.8 billion tonnes by 2050.

Η Γενική Γραμματεία Αγροτικής Πολιτικής και Διεθνών Σχέσεων ως Φορέας Υλοποίησης δράσεων που χρηματοδοτούνται από το Ταμείο Ανάκαμψης και Ανθεκτικότητας (ΤΑΑ) Ελλάδα 2.0, ανακοινώνει ότι εκδόθηκε η Υπουργική Απόφαση Α.Π.: 164/7-04-2022 και ενημερώνει για την έναρξη υποβολής αιτήσεων στο υποέργο 3 «Πράσινος αγρο-τουρισμός» (Κωδικός ΟΠΣ ΤΑ 5164846), η απόφαση αναρτήθηκε στον ιστοχώρο του ΥπΑΑΤ καθώς και στην κεντρική πύλη ενημέρωσης του Ταμείου Ανάκαμψης και Ανθεκτικότητας, προς ενημέρωση όλων των δυνητικών δικαιούχων.

48% of respondents said that choosing an environmentally-friendly holiday option was important, while 40% chose a neutral position.
35% of travelers stated they wouldn’t want to visit a country that wasn’t making efforts to fight climate change, while 32% indicated that they would not be deterred and 33% were undecided.
Overall, around 70% believed there is little or no effort to be sustainable among tourism providers. However, hotels/accommodation providers were the least poorly perceived when compared with other key travel and tourism sectors.
