October in Thessaloniki, a few things worth knowing about.

The historic Modiano Market has just reopened, bringing a market that has been part of the city since the 1920s.

At MOMus Museum of Contemporary Art, K.Vita presents "Μόνο η ακτογραμμή μένει", showing a new body of paintings to the public for the first time. The exhibition opens on 1 October and also marks the opening visual arts event of the 61st Dimitria.

At the Museum of Photography, László Moholy-Nagy, Light Play brings 68 works by one of the defining figures of the Bauhaus to Greece for the first time, tracing his experiments with photography, photomontage, light and the darkroom.

On 17 October, the 61st Dimitria brings Leïla Ka and Nancy Stamatopoulou to the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, with two contemporary dance voices exploring femininity, memory, vulnerability, rebellion and our relationship with nature.

The same evening, the 14th International Night Half Marathon brings thousands of runners into the city after dark. Its route follows 26th October Street, passing directly in front of The Met Hotel.
