About the Island

Zakynthos, sometimes referred as Zante, is the third largest of the Ionian Islands covering an area of 410 km2 and has a coastline of 123 km in length. The Island lies in the eastern part of the Ionian Sea, around 20 km west of the Greek mainland and 15 km south of Cephalonia.
Named after Zakynthos, the son of a legendary Arcadian chief Dardanus, the island’s multicultural history goes back in ancient era as Homer describes its dense forests in Odyssey. Throughout time many civilizations ruled it from the ancient Greeks and Romans to the Byzantines, Venetians, Russians, French and English. Zakynthos’ nickname “Fiore di Levante” (flower of the East) is attributed to the Venetians whose cultural influence was considerable. In 1864 the island was united with Greece.
In modern days the island has developed a thriving tourism industry. The majestic sandy beach of Gerakas and Marathonisi islet which consist birthplace for the rare species of Sea turtle Caretta – Caretta. The famous Shipwreck beach, one of the finest in the world, along with the unique blue caves are just some of the main reasons why visiting Zakynthos will be an experience you’ll never forget.

THE VILLA

This wonderful Venetian style villa is in a privileged position hidden away among olive oil trees yet on the edge of the Ionian open sea and just a short walk (400 meters away) to the exceedingly beautiful Gerakas beach. There is a stunning living room with marble fireplace, a uniquely handmade wooden library, a fully-equipped kitchen, four bedrooms, two bathrooms, balcony, covered terraces, well maintained gardens, a private little forest and a secluded rocky beach. There is also one-bedroom staff accommodation on site.
General Information: Located on the south east of Vasilikos village, just off the road leading to Gerakas and Porto Roma beach. The living space of Villa Pearl is 400m2 and sits on a 10.000m2 piece of land. The Villa has two living areas inside along with covered terraces on the ground floor and a balcony on the first floor, a veranda and landscape garden running along the perimeter of the house.
Sleeping Capacity: 3 Double bedrooms sleeping 6 adults,
1 Bedroom with two beds sleeping 2 kids ,
2 Baby - cots.
Two extra beds could be fitted in the loft or in any other room.

LOCAL AREA
The villa is ideally situated in an exquisite natural environment, part of the National Marine Park, where peace and relaxation thrive in. Only at a few minute walk is Gerakas beach, birthplace of the loggerhead sea turtle (Caretta-Caretta). Gerakas beach has an immense character and it is easy to see why people embark on a lasting love affair with this sensational resort. Vasilikos village is filled with delightful sandy beaches and breathtaking nature as well as plenty of restaurants serving local delicacy.
Museums, churches, monuments, traditional villages, nightlife as well as water sports can be found across Zakynthos Island suggesting that your stay can be as action packed or relaxing as you wish it to be.

FEATURES
A large lounge, office-library room , kitchen, dining room, playroom, two double bedrooms upstairs with a large bathroom; one double bedroom downstairs and a further two beds room for children with a family bathroom. Balcony on the 1st floor, terraces on the ground floor, BBQ area, large doors/windows opening onto the garden area running along the perimeter of the house with perfect view at the sea and the forest.
