You may realized the tradition annual events has been canceled(fireworks and parade) as the government in attempts to stop the protests big public events is avoided. BUT... it would be better to see Hong Kong at a less busy time.

No warning and reminder form HK Tourism Broad, as protesters are rational and only limited to the protest area(Admiralty MTR station, Jun/ 28 JUL, Not Yuen Long district)
